Karachi – The announcement of the next Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi emir is likely within the next few days.
JI Karachi’s committee has proposed three names for the emir. Today (Saturday) is the last day for members to vote for JI Karachi’s head.
The names Munim Zafar, Advocate Saifuddin, and Dr Wasay Shakir have been proposed for the role.
Munim Zafar is now serving as the temporary emir of JI Karachi.
It is important to highlight that members’ suggestions and opinions for the next enir were sent to the central emir, who will proclaim the new leader.
The official announcement of the new JI Karachi emir is due next week.
