Aamir Khan desired a ‘different’ lifestyle in Coonoor.
Aamir stated his then-wife Reena Dutta ‘would be extremely delighted’ if he stopped acting altogether. When asked what he would do then, Aamir said, “Nothing. Go to Coonoor. Spend time with your family. Begin a new life. It’s a pleasant area to live. We’ve been considering buying a property there for quite some time. “Call it a dream.”
When questioned if moving to Coonoor would be ‘unfair to your career’, Aamir replied that ‘work isn’t life’. He added that going to Coonoor would make his life ‘different’ and leave him with the’many things’ he wanted to do but couldn’t since he’s an actor.
Aamir Khan discusses the value of money.
In the same interview, Aamir was questioned how important money was to him and whether his family felt ‘starved’ because he was ‘making less compared to actors who do a bigger number of films’ than him. Aamir stated, “Money is crucial, but it isn’t the only significant aspect… I’d like to pursue other things outside filmmaking. These things may not generate that much money, but I do them because I want to. They (my family) do not feel deprived. I’ve never felt anything like this from them before.”
Aamir Khan’s most recent film is Laal Singh Chaddha (2022). The actor also had a cameo appearance in Revathi’s Salaam Venky (2022), which stars Kajol in the major role. Speaking of his next acting project, Aamir and Sunny Deol are slated to collaborate on Lahore 1947, which will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir.
