Two die, several hurt in roof collapse incidents; crops damaged as heavy rains hit parts of Sindh

JAMSHORO –Roofs of numerous houses collapsed in on Saturday due to severe rain in the city’s outskirts, killing two people, including a woman, and injuring several more.

Torrential rains inundated streams and drains throughout the city. Low-lying areas were swamped by torrential rains, and the power system failed as dozens of electricity feeders tripped.

The most affected areas were Nooriabad and Jolad.

UMER KOT, Hyderabad

Heavy rains were also reported in Umer Kot, Hyderabad, and the surrounding districts. Heavy rains inundated highways, streets, and low-lying regions, causing life to come to a halt.

During the deluge, all electrical feeders were turned off, leaving the area in darkness.


DADU, SHADAD KOT

Heavy rain was also reported in Dadu, Shahdad Kot, and the neighboring villages and suburbs.
The downpour flooded the roads and streets. The power supply was turned off owing to rain. Villagers and people were without power or water.

Life came to a halt owing to a power outage, which flooded highways and streets, forcing people to stay indoors. The torrential rains devastated standing crops in villages.
