Cara Delevingne’s multimillion-dollar Los Angeles home was reduced to a smoldering ruin on Friday after a massive fire completely destroyed it.
The large property in the affluent Studio City neighborhood did not have the actress-model there, but Delevingne’s cats were present at the time. Everyone got away with minor injuries.
“Today, my heart is broken. It’s unbelievable to me. Cherish what you have because life may change in an instant, the 31-year-old wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help.” The 8,000 square foot (750 square meter) four-bedroom house was purchased by Delevingne for $7 million in 2019.
Its roof fell and it was largely damaged in the fire, according to photos.
The model shared a photo of her two flat-faced white Persian cats on social media with the remark, “They are alive!!” She also has screen credits in the movies “Anna Karenina” and the TV show “Only Murders in the Building.” I’m grateful to the firefighters.”
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department claimed that almost 100 firemen responded to the fire, which was reported prior to dawn.
“Crews confirmed all occupants were out of the home, and then pulled back into defensive mode due to the long duration of heavy fire,” according to him. “As firefighters continued to apply hose streams from the outside, the house’s roof collapsed.
“Ultimately, it took 94 firefighters 2 hours and 16 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames.”
Delevingne is presently playing in “Cabaret” in London’s West End. She was recently photographed with Taylor Swift while she watched boyfriend Travis Kelce en route to the Super Bowl.
