Three Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna, Austria, were cancelled due to a potential security threat. The Eras Tour events were scheduled to take place over the weekend. Sadiq told the reporters, “We have a huge amount of experience in policing these events, we’re never complacent, and many lessons were learned after the terrible Manchester Arena attack.” The police collaborate closely not only with City Hall, but also with councils and people who host concerts, such as the Taylor Swift performance coming up in the next several weeks.”

According to him, “I’m sure Vienna has got its own reasons to cancel the Taylor Swift concerts, we’re going to carry on, working closely with police ensuring that the Taylor Swift concerts can take place in London safely.”

On Wednesday, three people were arrested, including a 19-year-old, on suspicion of organizing Islamic State-inspired assaults at major events in Austria’s capital. The concert organizers issued a statement after canceling the events, saying, “Due to confirmation by government officials of a planned terrorist attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”
