ISLAMABAD- Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, denounced the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s notification of a boycott of particular journalists and anchors following its core committee meeting.
“Journalists are also being exposed to the politics of division and hatred,” the minister stated in response to the PTI boycott.
In a statement, he stated that such behavior would be detrimental to the PTI. The minister urged PTI leaders to accept and tolerate “differences of opinion”.
He stated that the PTI had failed to learn from its mistakes, and that its policies had resulted in “chaos and division” among society.
