Taapsee Pannu on working with Akshay Kumar in Khel Khel Mein: ‘I have been lucky with all my films with Sir’

At the premiere ceremony for the song Hauli Hauli from Khel Khel Mein, Taapsee Pannu reminisced about her films Baby and Mission Mangal alongside Akshay Kumar.

The major actors recently attended the song launch event for Hauli Hauli from Khel Khel Mein, which co-stars Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu. During an interview with MS Shorts at the occasion, Taapsee spoke nostalgic about her prior collaborations with Akshay. Taapsee’s statement about Akshay Kumar
When asked about her reasons for working in Khel Khel Mein, Taapsee said, “There were two reasons to do this film: first, who doesn’t like doing comedy? Second, who doesn’t enjoy speaking Mudassar’s dialogues? I believe these were the only two reasons I agreed to do the film. The main ensemble cast, Karna Bohot, enjoys themselves. Actually, I have some strange trivia. Mission Mangal’s image was taken on August 15, 2019. Akshay Sir and main saath me usme, that was likewise an ensemble cast, and now again (Mission Mangal, a film, was released five years ago in 2019. It had me and Akshay Sir, who was also part of the ensemble cast, and now again. So here’s hoping and crossing our fingers. I’ve been fortunate with all of the films I’ve made with Sir. It started with Baby, Naam Shabana, and Mission Mangal, and now this is his fourth film, and I can only hope it continues to grow).”

Taapsee Pannu’s Acting Career
Taapsee started her Bollywood career with Chashme Baddoor. She later appeared in hit films like Pink, Judwaa 2, Badla, Mulk, Thappad, Rashmi Rocket, Shabaash Mithu, Dobaaraa, and Blurr. She was also cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkummar Hirani’s Dunki.

Taapsee’s Khel Khel Mein also stars Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan in pivotal roles. Bhushan Kumar and Vipul D Shah are the film’s producers. She will also appear next in Jayprad Desai’s Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba. Anand L Rai produced the film, which was written by Kanika Dhillon. The romantic thriller stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal in prominent roles.

Khel Khel Mein will be released on August 15. Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba comes out on August 9, 2024.
