ISLAMABAD – The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) parliamentary party will protest in the National Assembly today, as the government prepares to present the federal budget.
The parliamentary party met at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House to devise a strategy for the finance minister’s budget speech.
The meeting was attended by Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Barrister Gohar, Omar Ayub, Amir Dogar, Ali Muhammad Khan, Asad Qaiser, Zartaj Gull, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Zain Qureshi, Ahmad Chattha, and others.
It was decided that a large protest would be recorded during the budget speech.

According to sources, SIC MNAs will also carry photographs of PTI founder Imran Khan in the National Assembly.
The federal government is preparing to present its first growth-oriented budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, with an estimated outlay of more than Rs18,500 billion today.
