Share a strong bond with Manoj Bajapyee; it’s nice to reunite with him. Sharib Hashmi on ‘Family Man’ 3.
Mumbai, Actor Sharib Hashmi says he has a terrific bond with “The Family Man” co-star Manoj Bajpayee and is excited to reprise his role as JK Talpade in the show’s forthcoming third season.
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK created and directed the action thriller series, which stars Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class man attempting to strike a balance between his personal and professional lives as a covert intelligence officer.
Hashmi plays Talpade, Tiwari’s close friend and colleague, in the program, which premiered in 2019 to great acclaim and will be followed by a second season in 2021.
Filming for the third season of the Prime Video show began last month.
“I was extremely delighted to start working on the third season of ‘The Family Man’, and I’m very pleased with the scenes that we’ve shot. “I’m waiting for the next schedule to start, and I’m looking forward to getting back to playing JK,” the 48-year-old actor told PTI in an interview.
Hashmi stated that working with Bajpayee on “The Family Man” series is always “fun and special”.
“We share a special bond, and I feel quite comfortable with him. When we become JK and Tiwari, we get into that flow and banter, pulling each other’s legs. “It didn’t appear that we didn’t shoot for this long,” he explained.
The actor admitted that he had no idea their onscreen chemistry would garner such a large fan base.
“We hoped that people would enjoy us, but we had no idea that our on-screen friendship would be so well received. Some people have written poetry about this. “It feels great that our hard work has paid off,” he said.
Hashmi, who has received critical acclaim for his performance in “Filmistaan,” “Tarla,” and “Fighter,” among others, stated that he believes in working with complete honesty, whether he has a single scene in a film or a full-length role.
“I never take my work for granted; I am confident in myself. I have talent, but I’m not overconfident that I can handle everything on my own as an actor. I need the director’s support and supervision, which is critical for me. I ponder a lot before saying yes to a film, whether it’s a one-scene job in ‘Fighter’ or a full-length one in ‘Tarla’,” the actor added.
Hashmi’s forthcoming film, “Malhar,” is set in rural Kutch and characterized as a beautiful study of three connected stories of love, struggle, and resilience.
The anthology film also stars Anjali Patil of “Newton” fame, Rishi Saxena, Shrinivas Pokale, Vinayak Potdar, Mohammad Samad, and Akshata Acharya, among others.
“This contains three stories: one about two children who are buddies, another about a teenage love tale, and one about me, Anjali, and Rishi. I enjoyed how the filmmaker combined these three stories; I really liked the character, script, and team,” Hashmi stated.
“I’m not starring in the film. Rather, I have a cameo, although it does not appear to be a minor role. I’m hopeful the audience will enjoy the film, which addresses some important themes,” he remarked.
“Malhar” is scheduled to open in theaters on June 7. Vishal Kumbhar directed the film, which was produced by Praful Pasad under the banner V Motion Pictures.
