LAHORE – Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, has filed a bail petition in Lahore’s anti-terrorism court (ATC) for the May 9 arson cases.
The bail petition was filed in ATC by Rana Muddasir, an advocate.
The bail plea implied that the cases against Shah Mahmood Qureshi were filed for political retribution.
According to the petition, Shah Mahmood Qureshi was busy with his wife’s medical treatment in Karachi on May 9. The plea claimed that Shah Mahmood was arrested contrary to facts and reality.
The filed petition requested that Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s bail pleas be accepted.
It is worth noting that Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been charged with eight arson cases, including the attacks on Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and the Shahdman Police Station.
