According to Bloomberg on Friday, a series of technological difficulties following a Microsoft outage are causing interruptions in services around the world, ranging from airlines to banks.
Following Microsoft’s notification of an outage affecting its online services, a large number of failures extended from the United States to Asia.
Major organizations such as McDonald’s, United Airlines, and the LSE Group had a variety of communication challenges with customer service, highlighting a larger trend affecting numerous corporations in Japan, India, and the United States.
The outages coincided with Microsoft’s technological issues, albeit the exact origin of the troubles is unknown.
According to Bloomberg, at least some of the issues were caused by CrowdStrike cybersecurity software, and a Microsoft spokeswoman confirmed that the company is presently reviewing the situation.
