Senate elections: Preliminary list of Balochistan candidates released

Quetta –On Sunday, the Balochistan Election Commission announced the preliminary list of contenders for Balochistan’s Senate vacancies.

According to the Provincial Election Commission spokeswoman, 38 candidates’ nomination papers for Balochistan’s 11 Senate seats have been approved. Seven of the vacant seats are general seats, two for technocrats, and two for women.

The spokesman went on to say that 17 candidates’ nomination papers were authorized for 7 general Senate seats, 13 candidates’ nomination papers for 2 technocrat seats, and 8 candidates’ nomination papers for 2 women’s seats.
