RAWALPINI – The security forces killed five terrorists in three different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement released on Monday.
It claimed the operations took place on July 28 and 29.
A cooperative intelligence-based operation was carried out in Mohmand area, and three terrorists, including Qari, were successfully neutralised. During the operation, terrorists’ hideouts were also discovered, and a quantity of weaponry, ammunition, and explosives was collected.
However, during the fierce fire exchange, police constable Abrar Hussain of the KP Police embraced martyrdom after fighting valiantly.
In another intelligence-based operation launched in Dera Ismail Khan, security forces successfully engaged terrorists’ locations, killing Sifatullah alias Mullah Mansoor and injuring three other militants.
Sifatullah was involved in a number of terrorist acts in the area, including facilitating a suicide bombing attack in Daraban on December 12, 2023, and was wanted by law enforcement officials.
In a third confrontation in North Waziristan, security forces killed another terrorist.
