Family members and the Indian film industry pay an emotional farewell to director Sangeeth Sivan, who died in Mumbai on May 8. Many celebrities attended Sangeeth Sivan’s burial, including Anupam Kher, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor, and Zayed Khan, among others.
Kya Kool Hai According to Sangeeth Sivan’s brother Sanjeev Sivan, the Hum director was being treated for a urinary infection at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai when he died on Wednesday due to a heart arrest.
Sangeeth Sivan, the eldest son of photographer-cinematographer Sivan, is survived by his wife Jayashree and two children, Sanjana and Shanthanu.
Following Sangeeth Sivan’s death, many people flocked to social media to offer their final respects.
Remembering Sangeeth, renowned actor Anupam Kher released a video in which he was seen getting upset as he reminisced his friendship with the late filmmaker. “My close buddy and director of my three films, Sangeet Sivan, passed away far too soon. He was not just a talented filmmaker, but also a wonderful human person. I’ll always miss his kindness and laughter. Goodbye, my friend. You’ve entertained a lot of people with your personality and movies. “Thank you.” Kher wrote.
Sunny Deol, who appeared alongside Sangeeth Sivan in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, went to X to express his sympathies.”Shocked to learn about my beloved buddy @sangeethsivan’s loss; I can’t believe you’re no longer with us, but you’ll always be in our hearts and memories. Sunny commented, “Om Shanti, my friend, may your family find strength to overcome your loss.”
Actor Riteish Deshmukh also wrote a heartfelt tribute to Sangeeth Sivan. Taking to X, he stated, “I am deeply grieved and astonished to see that Sangeeth Sivan Sir is no more. As a beginner, all you need is someone to believe in you and give you a chance. I can’t thank him enough for Kya Kool Hai Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money. Soft-spoken, compassionate, and an excellent human being. My heart is devastated today; my sincere sympathies to his family and loved ones, including his wife, children, and brothers. I’ll miss you, Da!!!! And your contagious laughter!!! Rest in peace…
Tusshar Kapoor paid respect to Sangeeth Sivan. He complimented Sangeeth for introducing him to comedic films. “I don’t have words to convey how I’m feeling right now…. A mentor of sorts, someone who exposed me to comedy through #KyakoolHainHum, is no more! Sangeeth ji, I had the honor of working with you again recently, but this awful news will take me a long time to get over! RIP, sir. You will be missed! He wrote, “#SangeethSivan #gem.”
