On Saturday, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan shared the first look at the highly anticipated docuseries Angry Young Men: The Salim-Javed Story.
Khan used his Instagram account to distribute the poster. He expressed his pleasure at the prospect of sharing this important story with people all around the world.
Along with the poster, Khan wrote, “Salim Khan, Javed Akhtar in and as Angry Young Men,” #AngryYoungMenOnPrime, New Series, Aug 20.
The docuseries will follow the path of Salim-Javed, the famed screenplay partnership that revolutionized Hindi film in the 1970s with their compelling storytelling.
They produced some of Bollywood’s most successful films of the era, including Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewaar, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Don.
Their other significant works are Seeta Aur Geeta, Trishul, Shaan, Shakti, and Kala Patthar.
Salman Khan executive produces Angry Young Men, which also stars Salma Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti.
Namrata Rao makes her directorial debut with the series, which includes personal narrations from Salim-Javed and views from famous individuals in Indian cinema.
Angry Young Men will be exclusively accessible on Amazon Prime Video on August 20.
