LAHORE – Sardar Salim Haider Khan, the head of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), will be sworn in as governor of Punjab today (Friday), according to Dunya News.
According to sources, the oath-taking ceremony will take place at the Governor’s House at 4:00 p.m. Sardar Salim Haider’s oath will be administered by Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the head of the Pakistan People’s Party, will arrive in Lahore today to participate in the swearing-in event. The PPP chief will remain in Lahore for four days. Bilawal will be the primary guest at an Alhamra conference on Sunday.
The oath-taking event will also be attended by PPP leaders, Punjab cabinet members, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders.
