ISLAMABAD – Barrister Gohar, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Thursday that banning the PTI will end in the government’s ouster.
Speaking to the media alongside PTI leaders Omar Ayub Khan, Shibli Faraz, and Asad Qaiser after attending a joint parliamentary party meeting of the PTI and Sunni-Ittehad Council (SIC), the PTI chief stated that they would petition the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) against the appointment of ad-hoc judges to the apex court.
He claimed that the PTI was a party of 70% Pakistanis because it was present in every corner of the country, and that it should not be treated in this manner at all venues.
The PTI head slammed the Supreme Court’s decision to appoint ad-hoc justices, claiming that the appointment of four ad-hoc judges at the same time violated the judiciary’s freedom.
“This choice is founded on bad motives. This is not the time to make such decisions; rather, it is time to listen to Supreme Court decisions. “We demand that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issue our notifications immediately,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan criticized the Chief Justice of Pakistan for bringing like-minded judges, requesting the CJP not to assign PTI matters to ad hoc judges.
Furthermore, Shibli Faraz, the Senate’s opposition leader, chastised the administration for filing fake charges against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
Meanwhile, former NA speaker Asad Qaiser claimed that Nawaz Sharif was planning to escape the country for London, urging that the former PM apologise to the nation before flying this time. He also encouraged the government to follow the constitution rather than turning the country into a lawless land.
