ISLAMABAD-On Tuesday, MNAs from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would go on hunger strike in front of Parliament House.
According to sources, a hunger strike camp will be set up around 3 p.m. in front of Parliament House. Omar Ayub Khan, the opposition leader in the National Assembly, will command the camp.
A symbolic hunger strike will be held as a protest to the government’s retaliation measures.
The party officials further stated that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Asad Qaiser, and other members would join the hunger strike.
Shibli Faraz, the opposition leader in the Senate, will also go on strike. The strike will be held from 3 to 7 p.m.
The subject of receiving litigation threats against MNAs for being loyal to the PTI will also be addressed. The demand for Imran Khan’s release will also be raised.
If the demands are not addressed, the hunger strike will be intensified.
