ISLAMABAD – On Thursday, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent his congratulations to President Asif Ali Zardari on his election as President of Pakistan.
In a statement, he stated, “The development of friendship and collaboration with fraternal Pakistan, which is built on a firm foundation, is especially important to us. The increased level of mutual understanding between our countries lays a solid foundation for expanding ties across all areas.”
“I am confident that we will work together to strengthen and deepen the Azerbaijani–Pakistani strategic partnership and alliance, based on mutual trust and support, and to successfully continue the positive traditions of our bilateral and multilateral cooperation,” he said in a statement.
President Ilham Aliyev went on to say, “I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your upcoming responsibilities for the well-being and prosperity of the brotherly people of Pakistan.”
