Preity Zinta published numerous new photos from the 77th Cannes Film Festival. On Monday, Preity took to Instagram to congratulate renowned cinematographer Santosh Sivan. She described him as a “mad genius” and stated that she is “more proud and happy for my dear friend”. Preity posed for photos with Santosh and several other people on the Cannes red carpet. She was also seen bestowing the coveted Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography upon Santosh. He is the first Asian to receive this award. In the images, Preity cheered and grinned as Santosh delivered his speech.

I had the pleasure and good fortune of working with him in Dil Se and now in Lahore 1947, and I couldn’t be more proud and delighted for my dear friend and colleague. Santosh, you wild genius, you deserve everything. More power to you, and I love you very much. Congratulations and much deserved, @sivan_santosh.”
Preity attends 2024 Cannes event.
Preity was seen at the Cannes Film Festival wearing Seema Gujral’s pink saree with elaborate embroidery. She chose little makeup and accessories. Her wavy hair complemented her ethnic appearance. The ceremony, held on Friday at the famous Palais de Festivals, celebrated cinematography and Indian cinema’s global significance.

Preity returns to the silver screen in Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947. Lahore 1947 is a film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. The film was officially announced last October. Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol have all joined the ensemble of Lahore 1947.
