ISLAMABAD- On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke by phone with President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a news statement from the PM Office, the prime minister’s call was largely intended to express his respect for the UAE leadership’s strong determination and extraordinary efficiency in dealing with the challenges posed by recent rains in the country.
Shehbaz thanked the UAE president for once again exhibiting exceptional leadership qualities and a strong dedication to the Emirati people’s well-being.
PM Shehbaz stated that Pakistan has also endured tremendous rains in recent days, resulting in the loss of many lives. He underlined the need of collaborative action in combating climate change and proposed that both countries enhance their partnership in this area.
The UAE president thanked the prime minister for his kind words and expressed sympathy for the people of Pakistan who have been devastated by rainfall and flooding.
Both leaders underlined their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.
