Pakistan to welcome UK’s support to fight cybercrimes: Mohsin Naqvi

LondonPakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has stated that the United Kingdom’s assistance in combating cybercrime is welcome.

He delivered these remarks in London while meeting with James Babbage, Director General of the National Crime Agency, and Jonathan Allen, Director General of National Security of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.

On the occasion, the interior minister was briefed on the working of British institutions, and tight cooperation was agreed upon. It was determined that the National Crime Agency would train Pakistani officers in cybercrime and counter-narcotics.

The Interior Minister stressed the necessity for further cooperation between the two countries in the battle against narcotics.

Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the Pakistani population and military had made unparalleled sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. He stated that a common strategy is required to combat the problem.

The Interior Minister also paid a visit to the Cabinet Office National Situation Centre in London. He expressed a strong interest in how the center operates, emphasizing that the relevance of such a center in a crisis situation cannot be overstated.

The Interior Minister stated that the building of a National Situation Center in Pakistan will also be evaluated. He added that they will benefit from the United Kingdom’s knowledge and skills in this area. He stated that this collaboration will protect not only the present but also the future.
