ISLAMABAD–The federal government on Friday imposed 39 requirements for the previous ruling party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to organize a public demonstration on June 8.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the deputy commissioner to allow the PTI to hold its rally. The deputy commissioner issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) in this regard.
The deputy commissioner has ordered the PTI to commence and terminate the rally at the hour specified by the administration. There shall be no anti-state slogans or speeches. The party guarantees that there will be no riots or damage to state property. Furthermore, the PTI will secure the safety of rally participants and others.
It should be noted that the administration authorized the PTI to organize a rally on June 8 based on an IHC order and then informed the court of the authorization granted.
