ISLAMABAD –Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, demanded in a video message that India allow her and her 12-year-old daughter Raziyah Sultana to visit Yasin in Tihar imprisonment.
She insists that they be granted access to the institution in accordance with the Geneva Conventions on detainees’ rights.
For nearly ten years, the family has not seen each other and has been forced to part ways.

Mushaal requested that the United Nations and other international organizations investigate human rights breaches and put pressure on India to ensure her safety during her meeting with him in Tihar jail’s death cell in New Delhi.
She claims that Indian kangroo courts have arbitrarily sentenced Yasin Malik to life imprisonment in false trials in order to silence the legitimate voice of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
The Indian government is now seeking the death penalty in fictitious cases in order to silence the most prominent voice of Kashmiris living under Indian captivity.
Two years ago, he was charged and sentenced to life in prison without a fair trial, physical presence, counsel, or legal access.
