Lucky to get the opportunity to work alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’
Hyderabad, Prabhas says Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD” has turned out to be a lucky project for him as the film gave him the opportunity to collaborate with two stalwarts of Indian cinema Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.
Bachchan and Haasan play crucial parts in the multilingual mega opera dubbed “Project K” in 2020.
Aswini Dutt, the founder of Vyjayanthi Movies, produces the film, which claims to transport fans to a universe never before seen in Indian cinema.
“I am grateful to Amitabh sir and Kamal sir for agreeing to be a part of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’; they have both inspired India. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be acting beside these two legends.
“I believe Amitabh sir, who is from North India, has built a large fan following in the South, and we should all be proud of him. Kamal Sir is also a big star. “They both have fans all over India,” Prabhas stated at a promotional event for “Kalki 2898 AD” on Wednesday night.
The 44-year-old actor revealed that as a child, he used to dress up as Haasan’s movie roles.
“In my younger days, I fashioned myself on Kamal sir and also tried to get my clothes stitched, like the ones he wore in the 1983 film ‘Sagara Sangamam’,” revealed the actor.
During the ceremony, the makers unveiled ‘Bujji’, a life-size futuristic car driven by Prabhas in “Kalki 2898 AD”. The actor arrived at the event, which was attended by nearly 15,000 people, in a special car.
“Kalki 2898 AD” also stars Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, and Prabhas thanked them for their contributions to the film.
“Deepika is the most gorgeous and beautiful superstar, she is doing international films, ads and we are lucky to have her in the film,” Prabhas stated.
The “Baahubali” star expressed admiration for his producer Dutt’s passion and daring in filming one of India’s most expensive films, “Kalki 2898 AD”.
“He is the only producer who has been in the profession for the past 50 years, and I believe his second film was with NTR. His two girls share the same desire, and we should all be motivated by them, he remarked.
“Kalki 2898 AD” will open in theaters on June 27.
