Kriti Sanon: ‘I like being a newcomer every once in a while’

Kriti Sanon, a Bollywood starlet, speaks up about broadening her horizons by starting a skincare line, stating it helps her mature as an individual.

Kriti Sanon, an actor, is currently widening her horizons in both show business and personal life. She has taken on a new profession as a producer in the film industry and begun a new chapter in her life by starting a skincare business. The performer says she enjoys pursuing her curiosity and is always up for a challenge. The actor, who was most recently seen in the box office hit Crew, owns the skincare company Hyphen. In 2024, she takes on the role of producer for Do Patti. It is the first project for her production company, Blue Butterfly Films.

On accepting the new post
When asked about her dream of running a skin care brand, Kriti responded, “I genuinely believe that you should hyphen everything you want to do in your life.”

She said, “I think bachpan mein jab puchte hein ki aap ko kya banna hein, typically ek answer expect kiya jata hein actor banna hein, teacher banna hein, doctor banna hein jo bhi. Kyu banna hein? Bohot kuch kyun nahi ban sakte. (As children, when asked what we wanted to be, we were usually expected to offer a single answer, such as an actor, doctor, or teacher. Why only one? “Why can’t we be more than one thing?”

And that’s the belief Kriti has marched forward in her profession, be it the acting industry or production venture or entrepreneur. “I like also being a new comer every once in a while, learning new things, I am a learner, very curious as a person and that comes from being an engineer I think you are curious as people and I love acting and I love doing it every single day but if I feel passionate about something else, I just go for it,” she said.

The actor also underlined the notion of being open to every choice in life and trying in various sectors of life, rather than confining oneself in a certain subject.

What is ahead for Kriti?
She will soon appear in the film Do Patti, which also stars Kajol. Earlier last month, the actor celebrated a decade in the industry. She made her cinematic debut with Heropanti and went on to star in popular films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, and Mimi.

She released an uplifting video on her social media page, with an emotional message. Sharing the video, she tweeted, “It’s been ten years since my beginning in the Hindi film industry! The best, most wonderful decade of my life thus far! ❤️ Feels like yesterday when I stepped on a film set for the very first time and felt.. ALIVE.. like i was supposed to be here”.
