ISLAMABAD – According to former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, the political environment has altered, and the judiciary is battling for its existence rather than for the PTI.
Fawad told Dunya News that the judiciary believed the government and establishment, including the police and NAB, sought to bring them under their control.
He expressed optimism that those organizing a campaign against Azma Bukhari would be apprehended.
He claimed that Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were on the wrong side of history. He questioned whether Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif wanted to join with those who declared martial law.
Fawad Chaudhry: Zardari and Nawaz are on the wrong side of history.
The former federal minister also claimed that the number of judges on the Supreme Court should be 13. The number was raised to 17 according to one judge’s desire. He stated that the presence of 56,000 cases before the Supreme Court represents a failure of our justice system and emphasized the importance of strengthening session courts and other lower courts.
He encouraged the authorities to question their citizens about what occurred in court today. He explained, “If you don’t submit the proper evidence to the court, how can they make a decision? Remand is for submitting the accused to a judge.”
He went on to say that if the accused is not presented to the judge on remand, what’s the point? If they want to take the PTI founder’s remand, they must present him personally.
