Janhvi Kapoor says paparazzi stopped ‘clicking from behind’ after she called them out: ‘They are forced to listen to me’

Janhvi Kapoor revealed how paparazzi take photos and films of female celebrities from behind and post them with the phrase, ‘Guess who is this actor?

Janhvi Kapoor is currently promoting her forthcoming film, Ulajh. During promotions, she spoke with Hauterrfly about the current episode of The Male Feminist and discussed paparazzi culture. The actor revealed that the paparazzi stopped taking images of her from behind after she asked them not to during the promotion of her previous film, Mr and Mrs Mahi. What Janhvi stated.

During the interview, Janhvi discussed paparazzi culture, saying, “I believe I said something while marketing Mahi, ‘Please galat angle se mat lena,’ and since then they have been like, ‘Nahi, nahi hum peeche se nahi lenge! Are mudo mudo? (We will not click from behind. Turn around!’ Even if it’s a demonstration, I appreciate it. They put ‘Guess who is this’ from the rear shot, which attracts the most clickbait. So, of course, they will focus on that, but I do not believe it justifies such decisions.

I can say that I don’t like how I’m portrayed in this. I’m not comfortable with people seeing so much of myself in that way. They’re obligated to listen to me because this is my decision.”

Janhvi stated that she would not say similar things a few years ago, and said: “Aur maine bola bhi kaise (How did I say that?) This is also a cliche that I believe many women utilize, and one that I have used frequently. In my judgment, this is not something I want to put off. I want to bahur pyaar, Buddhu ban ke bas bolna chahti hoon. (I want to communicate my message in a loving and easygoing manner) because it is more acceptable.”
