ISPR DG to hold press conference today

RAWALPINI – Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), will hold a major press conference at 3 p.m. today (Monday).

The news conference will be conducted at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to sources, the press conference would focus on the country’s security condition.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, spoke at a press conference about two weeks ago. He began his news conference by stating that the goal of this communication was to clarify the army’s position on several crucial issues.

He claimed that certain quarters have recently circulated incorrect and fabricated news against the military forces, hence amplifying orchestrated propaganda. He stated that it had become necessary to address these matters from time to time.

Briefing the media on the security forces’ efforts to combat terrorism, he stated that the security forces conducted 22,409 intelligence-based operations, which resulted in the killing of 31 high-profile terrorists. He stated that 137 troops chose martyrdom throughout these actions.
