ISLAMABAD-The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday reserved its decision on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) request to stage a sit-in protest against the government.
Earlier, the IHC directed the district administration and PTI leaders to meet within two hours to resolve the PTI protest in Islamabad.
Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz of the IHC heard PTI leader Aamir Mughal’s appeal to host a ‘peaceful’ public protest in Islamabad.
Shoaib Shaheen represented the PTI, and State Council Abdul Rehman represented the district administration.
Shaheen argued with the court that the PTI be permitted to protest in F-9 Park rather than outside the National Press Club in Islamabad.
