Alan Ritchson arrived in Los Angeles, a city full of ambitious artists and magnificent buildings, determined to pursue his dream of becoming a singer.
Hollywood, however, had other plans for his career.

At the recommendation of a couple, Ritchson tried a period in modeling as he grew older and was still getting used to his muscular build, but he “didn’t find [it] satisfying.”
The actor recounted how he auditioned for the third season of the singing competition show in 2003, saying, “And then came American Idol.
But as luck would have it, the Fast X actor was eliminated from consideration for the city’s second round of tryouts, so he decided to give acting another shot.
The actor is enjoying great success in both his personal and professional lives. 2006 saw Ritchson tie the knot with his high school sweetheart, with whom he has three sons.
After revealing his casting in The Butcher, a “cheap horror film,” two years later, Ritchson went on to play the part of DC character Aquaman in the five-year television series Smallville.
