Haniya Aslam was born in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and was the cousin of Zeb Bangash, a musician well known for her work with Coke Studios. They became a musical duo.
The duet was well-known for their captivating melodies in a variety of languages, including Urdu, Turkish, and Pashto. Their work, particularly their compositions for Coke Studio, was widely acclaimed.
