ISLAMABAD –Hammad Azhar has resigned from his roles in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to reports, Hammad Azhar has submitted his resignation to the party leadership, indicating that after considerable thought, he has decided to retire as general secretary and president of the PTI Punjab chapter.
Azhar stated that he believed it was crucial to be present on the ground for effective party leadership in Punjab at this time, and that direct connection to the PTI founder was critical.
He stated that he will continue to work as a party worker.
