Gurcharan Singh aka Sodhi goes missing; Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s cast and father react

The disappearance of actor Gurcharan Singh has horrified his family, friends, and fans.

Gurcharan Singh, also known as Sodhi from the program Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has gone missing, and fans are understandably concerned. In a surprising turn of events, he was last seen at the Delhi airport on April 22, about to board a trip to Mumbai. However, he did not arrive at his destination and could not be located.

On Friday, the family filed a missing person complaint with the Palam Police Station. His father, Hargit Singh, says us, “All of us are very tense; we haven’t received any updates until now.” We attempted to call two of Gurcharan’s phone numbers, but one was turned off and the other was out of network service at the time of going to press.

He left TMKOC in 2021, but the show’s personnel is reportedly aiding the family during this difficult time. Sachin Shroff, who plays Taarak Mehta, says, “I found out on Saturday morning. Though I have not worked with him on this episode, the team is obviously assisting the family and communicating with the agencies, which is extremely distressing.” Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Gurcharan’s wife Roshan Singh Sodhi for a long time on the show, adds, “We hadn’t spoken in a year, but when I tried phoning him yesterday, his phone was switched off. I’m not sure if anyone on the show’s crew is assisting me because no one has contacted me. Gurcharan was a good person, and I hope he is safe. “I am crossing my fingers.”
