ISALAMABAD –Musadik Malik, the Federal Minister for Petroleum, extended an olive branch to the embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the minister stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had three priorities: providing jobs for the poor, lowering inflation, and alleviating poverty.
Malik slammed former Prime Minister Imran Khan for requesting the army to remain impartial, claiming that his party workers carried out the May 9 riots as a result of the PTI founder’s persistent incitement.
“A few days ago, a trend circulated on social media that tied Pakistan’s survival to Imran Khan’s. The captain said that America was plotting against his government. A few anti-Pakistan factions impeded the country’s progress. The PTI founder has said that the Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) is to blame for the conflict between the PTI and the establishment. He has plainly claimed that he will ruin the country, and he is doing so. The martyrs’ monuments were desecrated on May 9. We want to remove terrorism in Pakistan, but you claim you won’t let the operation take place,” he said.
He went on to declare that the PTI rejected every offer offered by the government, whether it was to form a government or engage a conversation.
He stated that inflation was 38 percent last year and has been reduced by the government’s efforts.
“You are causing instability and jeopardizing the future of our country’s children. “You can remove us if you want, but things will spiral out of control,” he said.
