Governor GB calls on President Zardari

ISLAMABAD – Governor Syed Mehdi Shah of Gilgit Baltistan called President Asif Ali Zardari at the President House on Thursday to discuss the region’s overall situation, development projects, and public issues.

During the meeting, the president emphasized the importance of investing in Gilgit-Baltistan’s social and economic development, citing the region’s enormous potential for growth.

He also emphasized the importance of taking special measures to fully utilize the region’s resources and capabilities.

Governor Mehdi Shah has requested the establishment of a medical university in Gilgit-Baltistan. The President assured the Governor that the region’s issues would be resolved through appropriate forums.
