.DOHA– The funeral prayer for Hamas leader and former Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh was held in Doha.
Ismail Haniyeh’s funeral prayer was held in the Imam Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahab Mosque, and he will be buried in the cemetery in Lusail, Qatar.
The Turkish Foreign Minister also traveled to Doha to attend Ismail Haniyeh’s burial prayer, as did Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman.
According to World News Agency, Ismail Haniyeh’s body was taken to his apartment in Qatar’s capital.
The remains of Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard Waseem Abu Usman were covered in Palestinian flags when they arrived at Doha Airport from Tehran.
A big number of his comrades and relatives greeted the remains of their beloved commander.
The Hamas leader was killed in a rocket attack on his Tehran home between Tuesday and Wednesday night.
His funeral prayer was held yesterday (Thursday) in Tehran.
The funeral prayer was led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader.
On this day, the newly elected president of the country, Al-Madiqyan, joined in the prayer.
According to a news outlet, thousands of Palestinians arrived for Ismail Haniyeh’s funeral prayer, carrying posters with his photographs and the Palestinian flag.
Prior to Ismail Haniyeh’s martyrdom, Israeli attacks killed 70 members of his family.
Ismail Haniyeh’s funeral prayers were held in numerous nations, including Pakistan.
Many religious and political parties held absentee funeral prayers in various locations today (Friday).
