Female UK lawyer says Baby Reindeer’s ‘real’ Martha Scott had ‘major obsession’ with her: ‘I always felt threatened’

Laura Wray, 62, a British lawyer, claimed that Martha Scott, the’real’ Baby Reindeer, also targeted her.

A British lawyer has admitted that she, too, was targeted by Baby Reindeer’s’real’ Martha Scott. Laura Wray, 62, made the revelations during an interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan on his show Uncensored. This comes just days after’real’ Martha Fiona Harvey’s interview with Morgan.

“I feel threatened,” said Wray, the widow of former Labour MP Jimmy Wray. “I always felt threatened by her because I just never knew what she was capable of.”

“I seem to have been her major obsession over all these years,” the Scottish legal advocate said, adding that this had been “for many years, even longer than Richard Gadd.”

‘She was terrible.’
Wray explained that she and Harvey met through work. “She was terrible…” Staff was rude to me. She shouted at people. She behaved inappropriately with a male staff member. She attempted to follow a male member of staff home. I mean, all kinds of things happen. “She threw a book across the office and hit someone with it,” Wray claimed.

Wray stated that she “couldn’t believe” what she was seeing in the Netflix drama. “From the start, it was clear it was the same woman. It was Fiona Harvey,” she informed Morgan. “The actress does an excellent job. They sound, look, and act exactly like her. I have a file full of letters from her — emails, faxes, and so on — and they’re all identical.”


Saying that viewers, too, spied on Harvey’s identity, “I think it’s because it was so unusual, that she was a female stalker stalking another female.” So I was identified by the press before she was.”

“It had a negative impact on me, and even after five weeks, it still triggers me whenever I see something. I mean, I’m a fairly robust individual. I am an advocate. I frequently appear in court, so I’m not easily moved to tears. But this has made me very anxious and upset,” Wray said.

‘It has been absolutely horrendous.
While Richard Gadd depicted his stalker’s actions in Baby Reindeer, he never revealed her real name. Harvey later came forward and claimed that it was her Gadd who was depicted in the series. Jessica Gunning stars as the stalker in the film Baby Reindeer.

On Morgan’s show, Harvey denied nearly every detail from the series, claiming she never stalked Gadd. She stated that she intended to sue Gadd and Netflix for defamation, claiming that their actions had “career-damaging” consequences for her.

Harvey said she hadn’t seen the show but found it “quite obscene.” “I find it horrifying and misogynistic. Some of the death threats have been extremely deplorable online. People were calling me up,” Harvey said. “You know, it has been absolutely horrendous. I wouldn’t believe that, and it’s not my type of drama.”
