Why were senior FBR officers removed from their positions?
The reasons for the removal of senior FBR personnel from their positions have surfaced, and the prime minister has requested that they be removed for four reasons.
The officers failed to successfully execute the track and trace system, did not get the intended outcomes from the scheme introduced for businessmen, and made no progress in cases under trial in court. Despite directives from the Prime Minister’s Office and the International Monetary Fund, they were unable to expand the tax network.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also taken action against FBR staff by conducting inquiries. The probe report against the ousted officers will be submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office next month.
