Exclusive| Farida Jalal joins the cast of Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle

Veteran actor Farida Jalal will take a prominent role in the upcoming comedy film Welcome To The Jungle, according to our sources.

We’ve learned that Farida Jalal, 75, will next appear in Akshay Kumar’s next film Welcome To The Jungle. The legendary actor has already joined the cast of the comedy for its Mumbai shoot. The film is the third entry in the Welcome franchise.

“Farida ji takes on fewer projects these days due to her age and because she is picky about the work she undertakes,” says a source, adding, “However, she was on board when she heard the script and saw it as a family entertainer. She has consistently starred in films that a family can watch together, from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) to Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018).”

The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, stars comic legends such as Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever, as well as actors Raveena Tandon, Jacqueliene Fernandez, and Disha Patani.
