ISLAMABAD – On Monday, retired Justices Sardar Tariq Masood and Mazhar Alam Miankhel took their oath as Supreme Court ad hoc judges.
During a ceremony in the Supreme Court building’s judges block committee room, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa delivered the oath to the ad hoc judges.
Justices Masood and Miankhel have been appointed as ad hoc judges for a year. President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointment of ad hoc judges on Friday.
Initially, retired Justice Miankhel refused to accept the offer, but eventually accepted to rejoin the Supreme Court.
The Ministry of Law and Justice has already issued a notification appointing the SC ad hoc judges.
