ISLAMABAD -The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday extended the time for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit papers in response to an intra-party elections case.
A three-member bench, led by Sindh ECP member Nisar Durrani, heard the PTI intra-party election issue.
The ECP member from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inquired as to who monitored the PTI’s elections, given that it was not an organisation.
“The ECP raised no objections to the PTI’s recent election. There are a few legal and technological problems that we aim to address if granted time,” said PTI Chief Barrister Gohar.
He stated that cops confiscated everything, including vital party records, and did not even leave a ‘water fountain’ during the raid on the PTI Central Secretariat.
The ECP adjourned the hearing without providing a date.
It should be mentioned that the ECP has set July 13 for the hearing of the PTI’s intra-party election case.
