Dhanush donates ₹1 cr to Karthi and Nassar for new Nadigar Sangam building

Dhanush, an actor, has made significant contributions to the new building of Nadigar Sangam, also known as the South India Artists’ Association, in Chennai.

Dhanush, an actor, has provided a large personal donation to the construction of Nadigar Sangam’s new facility in Chennai, also known as the South India Artists’ Association. Ramesh Bala, an industry tracker, shared the news about Dhanush’s contribution on X (previously Twitter). He posted a photograph of himself receiving flowers from actor Nassar and posing for a photo with Karthi.

Ramesh shared the news, writing, “South Indian Artistes’ Association member – Actor Dhanush donated a sum of rupees 1,00,00,000/- (1 crore) from his personal fund to the construction of the New Nadigar Sangam Building.” He handed over the cheque to SIAA President Thiru. Nassar, Treasurer Thiru. Karthi, and Vice-President Thiru.Poochi S Murugan. South Indian Artistes’ Association expresses gratitude for his generous donation.”

In March this year, celebrities Vijay and Kamal Haasan gave ₹1 crore each to the structure. Vishal, the association’s General Secretary, took to X to express his gratitude to Vijay, writing, “Thank you means a lot to a person when he does it from the heart. Well, I’m talking about my favorite actor, our very own #ThalapathiVijay brother, who has donated ONE CRORE to our #SIAA #NadigarSangam building effort.”

He also honored Kamal, tweeting, “Dearest monument of Indian film industry. @ikamalhaasan sir.” I don’t have the words or room here to evaluate and not exaggerate what happened yesterday when @Karthi_Offl and Poochi Murugan sir met with you. You started the movement by giving us a one-crore cheque years ago, and you still support it today.”

Dhanush last appeared in the 2023 film Captain Miller. He will shortly appear in the multilingual film Kubera, directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. He also directs and stars in the Tamil film Raayan, alongside Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and SJ Suryah.
