At the event, Dhanush was asked who his favourite Telugu actor is and whether he would want to work on a multi-starrer alongside Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, or Allu Arjun. Dhanush paused for a few seconds before responding, “Tarak, Jr NTR,” which elicited laughter from the audience.
He was also asked about his favourite hero. He said, “I will respond, but other fans, don’t hate me. I enjoy cinema, but I adore Pawan Kalyan sir.” The audience roared so loudly that Dhanush and the host were unable to be heard.
Sharing a video of the moment on X, one fan remarked, “I was present at the event and the crowd response was insane. The entire hall hooted at high level for one minute. You only have a few legendary moments to see. #Dhanush.”
At the event, Dhanush also performed Water Packet from Raayan, which features music by AR Rahman.
Upcoming Work
Dhanush recently appeared in Arun Matheswaran’s Captain Miller earlier this year. Raayan will enter theaters this Friday, and the trailer, which was released last week, shows him in an extreme avatar. The film also has SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in significant parts.
He will also soon appear in Sekhar Kammula’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual film Kubera. The film also stars Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh.
