ISLAMABAD-On Wednesday, the federal cabinet approved the budget for fiscal year 2024-25, which is expected to cost more than Rs18,500 billion.
Prime Minister Shehabz Sharif presided over the cabinet meeting that approved the federal budget.
Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, will present the budget for fiscal year 2024-25 to the National Assembly.
The budget was created with the current economic challenges in mind, both domestically and internationally.
The government is committed to presenting a pro-people, business-friendly, and progressive Federal Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25. It will pursue fiscal consolidation policies to reduce the budget deficit.
The budget promises revenue mobilization, economic stabilization and growth measures, reduced non-development expenditure, job creation, and people-friendly policies for socioeconomic prosperity.
