ISLAMABAD – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), emphasized the importance of agreements in addressing the country’s difficulties, claiming that grieving alone would not sufficient.
Addressing the National Assembly, he emphasized his father, President Asif Ali Zardari’s, attitude on negotiations and the need of focusing on people’s concerns.
He recognized every political party’s right to democratic protest, but urged the opposition to put public issues ahead of personal complaints.
Bilawal asked the opposition to contribute constructively to legislative proceedings, noting that their pay would only be justified if they carried out their duties and actively participated in policymaking.
The PPP Chairman encouraged the opposition to actively participate in budget deliberations in order to make more inclusive decisions.
