LAHORE – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi claimed that Afghan land was used in the attack on Chinese citizens working in Pakistan.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the interior minister stated that China has always supported Pakistan and that we have strong ties with the country.
“The attack on Chinese nationals was pre-planned and we have raised the issue with the interim government of Afghanistan,” stated Naqvi.
He went on to say that Pakistan has increased border security, and that we are well aware of the forces attempting to undermine Sino-Pak relations.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is receiving support in the border areas, and we have significant evidence of this.

Rai Tahir, chairman of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), stated that the car used in the suicide attack entered Pakistan via Afghanistan.
“The TTP was behind the attack on Chinese nationals in Besham and the plan was orchestrated in Afghanistan,” stated Rai Tahir.
In March of this year, five Chinese nationals were slain when their vehicle was ambushed near Besham, a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla District.
A suicide bomber slammed an explosives-laden truck into a convoy carrying Chinese engineers from Islamabad to their camp in Dasu.
Dasu is the site of a huge dam, and the area has previously been assaulted. In 2021, a bus blast killed 13 individuals, nine of them were Chinese nationals.
