Grammy Awards 2024: Taylor Swift creates history by winning four albums in a row.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift broke yet another record when she took home the Grammy for album of the year an incredible four times, continuing the trend of women dominating the top awards in the music business.

In addition, Swift declared live at the Grammy Awards that a new album would be out in April.

With “Midnights,” the 34-year-old earned album of the year, surpassing three-time winners Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder.

Swift gushed about the enjoyment she gets from composing and performing songs, saying she was overjoyed by the accolade. She exclaimed, “It makes me so happy.” “All I want to do is keep doing this.”

Swift had earlier announced that “The Tortured Poets Department” would be released on April 19 when accepting the award for best pop vocal performance.

“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years,”

Swift stated this while revealing the new album, which was put up for pre-sale during the Grammy Awards broadcast.

Swift, one of the women who swept the major Grammy awards on Sunday, is set to board a plane to Tokyo to resume the world’s highest-grossing concert tour.

With “What Was I Made For?,” a ballad created for the “Barbie” movie soundtrack, Billie Eilish claimed song of the year.

Record of the year went to Miley Cyrus, who won her first two Grammys on Sunday, for her empowerment hymn “Flowers.”

“This award is amazing,” said Cyrus, “but I really hope that it doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday.”

Pop and R&B singer Victoria Monet won best new artist. She honored her mother, describing her as “a single mom raising this really bad girl.”

The Recording Academy’s roster of producers, engineers, musicians, and other experts selected the winners. In recent years, the club has made an effort to increase the representation of women and people of color within its membership.

She exclaimed, “I came really, really far.” “I can’t believe this is happening, and it feels very fake.”

Stevie Wonder performed “For Once In My Life” in remembrance of the late Tony Bennett, who performed the song together with a video, as an homage to the other performers and business leaders who have died away in the past year.

Annie Lennox performed a rendition of “Nothing Compares 2 U” in honor of Sinead O’Connor, while Fantasia Barrino paid tribute to Tina Turner with a rendition of “Proud Mary,” supported by vocalists adorned in glistening gold and silver fringed attire.

Jon Batiste paid homage to Clarence Avant, dubbed “the Godfather of Black music,” by performing songs like “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Lean On Me.”

The 1988 song’s original singer and songwriter, Tracy Chapman, joined country music superstar Luke Combs for a rendition of their cover smash, “Fast Car,” near the beginning of the performance.

Billy Joel sang his new single “Turn The Lights Back On,” his first original song in 17 years, toward the close of the show.

Rapper Jay-Z voiced his frustrations with the Grammy Awards when accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. Among his issues was the fact that his superstar wife Beyonce, who has won more Grammy Awards than anybody else, had never won album of the year.

As Beyonce observed from the audience, Jay-Z remarked, “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady.” “But she’s never won album of the year and has more Grammys than anyone else. Thus, even by your own standards, that is ineffective.”
