RAWALPINI – Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid has requested permission to hold a demonstration outside Lal Haveli on August 13.
Rashid stated that he had asked the deputy commissioner for permission to celebrate Independence Day and rally outside Lal Haveli on the night of August 13.
He went on to say that “we celebrate Independence Day and hold a rally on the night of August 13″ is a 50-year-old tradition.
He hoped the deputy commissioner would allow the night rally.
He urged the people to attend the historic event, which will take place from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on August 13.
The former minister also stated that he had requested amnesty for 670 persons who had been imprisoned despite having no links to the May 9 incident.
