In comparison to the other Bollywood release this week, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has earned somewhat more. Sudhanshu Saria’s spy thriller Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah, grossed only ₹1.10 crore on its first day. However, Ajay and Tabu are far more famous. Also, this is their tenth feature together, and their combination has frequently performed admirably at the box office.

In 2015, Nishikant Kamat’s criminal thriller Drishyam, starring Ajay and Tabu, earned ₹5.8 crore at the box office. Abhishek Pathak’s Drishyam 2 (2022) grossed ₹15.38 crore on its opening day, a threefold increase over its predecessor. In 2017, Rohit Shetty’s comedy Golmaal Again grossed twice as much as Drishyam 2 at ₹30 crore due to its Diwali release.

The film also features Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar. It’s a musical love story featuring an epic romantic drama set over 20 years, from 2002 to 2023. Previously, it was set to release on July 5 and compete with Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s action thriller Kill. However, the producers opted to postpone the film “on the request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity” because it was scheduled a week after Nag Ashwin’s dystopian sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD.
